You may want to have a drinks reception on our grand Gun Terrace in front of the striking Inner Bailey, perhaps play a little croquet on the lawns or on a winter's day lounge in front of a roaring fire listening to musicians.
The Great Hall provides a very majestic backdrop for your wedding breakfast, seating up to 130 guests. For a smaller, more intimate occasion, the Long Drawing Room is ideal and can host for up to 30 guests.

Outside Wedding Receptions
Berkeley Castle is known for it’s beautiful grounds and of course you want to make the most of this during your wedding weekend.
There is the option to either dine and have your reception inside the castle or we can provide seating and marquees outdoors to provide the perfect outdoor reception for your big day. The food provided will also be by our providers Napier Catering, who will ensure that you get impeccable service and the right food for your day.
Summer wedding receptions
Summer is the perfect time to have your loved ones and guests outside to celebrate your wedding day. We want our guests to enjoy the grounds and space that is offered here at Berkeley Castle.
We can tailor your reception to exactly what you want, we’ll provide décor and we can also provide as much Pimms as is needed for your summer wedding at Berkeley Castle.
WINTER wedding receptions
We host many winter weddings at Berkeley Castle, as for most bride and groom the castle venue creates that magical feeling.
We decorate the Long Drawing Room and the Great Hall accordingly for guests to dine and celebrate into the evening.
During the winter we also offer roaring fires and twinkling lights, offering a very magical backdrop for the evening.
Dance The Night Away
What better way to end the day than with a party to surpass all parties! Dance the night away in the Great Hall to your favourite band or DJ, have evening food in the Inner Courtyard and why not say your final wedding day goodbyes with sparklers.
